For International Students
U.S. federal regulations state that all international students on an F-1 or J-1 visa must register and maintain a full-course of study (12 credits for undergraduates and 9 credits for graduate students) during the fall and spring semesters. Prior to dropping below full-time status, international students should consult the International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) Office in Royce Hall (first floor) or call 608-342-1852 if they are experiencing difficulties maintaining a full-time course load. Visit www3.uwplatt.edu/isss for more information.
Your library provides free access to scholarly and peer-reviewed online and printed resources. Librarians are skilled in helping you critically evaluate materials, narrow the focus of your research, and find just what you need--within library walls and around the world. ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAMS offers free services to UW-Platteville
students to help them succeed.
Qualified student tutors in Tutoring Services and the Writing Center (WATR) help students become more confident and effective learners and writers in a relaxed, peer-to-peer environment.
An Academic Coach gives students a one-on-one connection with a campus professional and the opportunity to develop skills that will help them succeed in college, such as using a planner, studying effectively, or managing test anxiety. An Academic Coach can also refer students to other campus resources suited to their needs.
Please visit https://www.uwplatt.edu/academic-support to learn more about these services. You can also call (608) 342-1081 or visit 3rd floor Brigham Hall for more information.
